Author: Marie James
Genre: MC/Contemporary Romance (Standalone)
Release Date: January 24, 2018

Blurb

My first job with the Cerberus MC was to grab a girl from a seedy bar. Easy money, right?
The moment I realized the blonde I was hunting wasn’t around, I ended up captivated by a redhead dancing on the stage. With her striking features and sinful body, I knew she was trouble, but that didn’t stop me from making her mine that night.

When I learned that she WAS the job, everything became clouded.

I was only looking for a one night stand, but when the dust settled and she ran, my only desire was to chase her.

Should I risk my job, and quite possibly my life, in order to have her? Would she even stay if I caught her?

Blog Tour + Excerpt – MACON by Marie James

Today we have the blog tour for Macon by Marie James! Check it out and grab your copy today!

Title: Macon
Author: Marie James
Genre: Contemporary Romance

About Macon:

Tossing a middle finger to Macon, Georgia as I made my way to Nashville was always the dream. Sing country music, go on tour, top the charts—with my popularity growing every day, I was on my way.

But then a gust of wind blew up your skirt, and those white cotton panties had me hooked. I didn’t know your name, and you turned down every attempt I tried to throw your way. But I knew you were different, even though you told me I was the same.

“Friends” is what you offered, and I played by your rules, but, Adelaide Hatfield, you have to know, from that day, it was only you.

I just hope I can make you see how much you mean to me before we both drown in the sorrow of what heartbreak can truly be.

EXCERPT

“I miss you already,” he whispers.

I have to clear my throat. “You’ll have too much fun to miss me, and I’ll be busy with classes.”

“Will you wait for me?” He pauses. “I’ll stay true to you, Addi. While I’m gone, I mean. I don’t want anyone else.”

I shake my head. While he may mean what he’s saying—now—I know him well enough to understand it’s an impossible task.

Do I hurt us both a little now, or wait until we’re so far in, we destroy each other?

I decide on the former. It may be enough to destroy me anyway.

“You don’t have to do that, Axton. It’s a time for you to have an amazing experience, see the world, and everything it has to offer.”

“You’re giving up on us?”

Shaking my head again, I finally face him. “There is no us. We’re friends. Yes, we messed around last night, and it was great, but we both know there’s no way we can be anything more if you leave.”

He takes a step back like I’ve punched him in the gut. “Is that some sort of ultimatum? Stay here or you move on? You’re forcing me to choose?”

“I’m not,” I tell him. “There’s no choice. You’re going on tour, and I’m going to school in a few hours. Tour life…long distance things just don’t work. We’re only twenty-one. You don’t need to tie yourself down to anything in this town. You’re ready to get out of here, remember? You told me that yourself.”

His jaw tightens as his fingers clench several times. “That was before,” he yells.

I wince and look at the wall separating my room from Mandy’s.

“Before?”

“Before I fucking fell in love with you!” Agitated hands sweep over the top of his head.

I shake my head. “You aren’t.”

“Don’t tell me what I feel.”

Love isn’t selfish. Love doesn’t mean making rash decisions without first thinking of those you love.

I want to say the words, but I don’t have the courage or energy.

“Don’t tell me something like that right before you leave. That’s not fair. It’s manipulative and spiteful. I don’t deserve that from you.”

“You don’t deserve it? You’re splitting my heart in two. And what? I’m just supposed to roll over and take it? I’m supposed to pretend like I don’t love you?”

He’s one to talk about a broken heart. It’s taking everything in me not to jump off this bed and beg him to pick me over the tour, but I know how selfish that is, and I’d never do that to anyone.

“This is my dream,” he says, his tone softer, as if it explains everything. “You’re part of my future.”

“We’ll always be friends,” I offer.

“The fuck we will,” he mutters. I watch him leave, shoulders slumped forward, not a hint of the excitement he had when he first arrived.

Exclusive Excerpt:

“I watched this last night, and I just want you to see it too.” Renee clicks on a video.

His voice, belting out the words of a well-known song, pushes from the small speakers. They don’t give him the justice he deserves. His voice, his presence, demands the acoustics of an arena and countless eyes of a sold out crowd.

“Do you see what I mean?” Renee asks, pointing to the screen.

The video was recorded just to the left of where he was looking, and I know where his eyes were—locked with mine. I felt each and every one of them last night as if his choice of songs were hand-picked for me. It warmed me then, and I can’t deny the heat filling my blood as I watch now.

“He’s enraptured by you,” Mandy whispers, as if speaking too loud will break the spell he has over me.

“He’s a performer,” I counter.

“If it were only about performing, he would be looking around, trying to make each person there feel like he’s singing to them.” I sense Renee’s gaze on the side of my face, but can’t pull my eyes from the dark-haired man on the computer screen. “He only saw you last night.”

I could never believe that. Trusting it would be harmful. To my heart. To my mental health.

I run my finger over the track pad of the mouse and close the video.

“And he only saw someone else three days before.”

I click on another video—one I’ve watched a dozen times, and let myself fantasize in more detail than I ever should’ve allowed.

Axton’s voice channels through the speakers as he looks into the camera with raw emotion. His words vow his devotion, promise his love, his future, and every thought to that person.

“I’m not special to him. He sings like this all the time.”

Both of my sisters remain quiet, and why shouldn’t they? There’s no questioning the way he’s making the person with the cellphone camera feel. I was her last night. It’s awesome in the moment, but confronted with the truth of his philandering, I have no interest in anything involving Axton Lane.

New Release – SNATCH by Marie James

Title: Snatch
Series: Cerberus MC #5 (Standalone)
Author: Marie James
Genre: M/M Contemporary Romance
Release Date: July 13, 2017

Blurb

I’ve been Jaxon Donovan since the day I was born, obviously. My road name, Snatch, came years later due to my ability to literally snatch up any woman I set my sights on. I’ve always been a connoisseur of the opposite sex. Tall, short, thin, thick and juicy, my tastes knew no limitations.

I didn’t think there was a limitation to my sexuality, and I found out just how true that actually was the night my best friend took it upon himself to take me in his mouth. Sure, there’d been close calls before, the slip of a hand or misplaced lips. With our propensity to share women, it’s bound to happen. That fateful night, I was met with pure intention and an experience I never want to forget.

How do you explain to your friends, your brother’s in arms, that your extremely active sexuality has led you to your best friend’s door step? How do you admit, after twenty-six years of heterosexuality, that you’re into something else?

I’ll soon find out that what happens in the dark will always come to light.

Cover Reveal + Giveaway – DOMINIC by Marie James

DOMINIC by Marie James
Cover Design: Essen~tail Designs
Release Date: May 11, 2017

Synopsis

Dominic Anderson knows exactly what he wants in life: simplicity, safety, and solidarity with his brothers. He’s vowed to spend each day living his life exactly how he chooses since the day his wife betrayed him and his four-year military career turned into twenty.

Returning home after retirement from the Marines, he’s traded the sand in the Middle East for that of the New Mexico desert, Humvees for a motorcycle, and the comradery of men in uniform for the occasional woman at his feet.

Life was perfect until Makayla “Poison” Evans, Renegade MC Princess, knocked on his door, bruises on her face, neck, and arms, and no money to pay the cab driver. Pink hair, perfect body, and a mouth that Dom yearned to teach a million lessons, Mak asks more from him than he’s conceded to a woman in decades.

She needs his help, his protection, and against his better judgment, she expects him to keep her secrets. Only her secrets are deadly, dangerous, and have the potential to start a war between two MCs.

At what point does safeguarding a woman become a betrayal to the men Dominic calls his family? More importantly, can he get back the sanctity of his home once Makayla is no longer in the picture, or will he be forever tainted by her poison?

Review: We Said Forever by Marie James

we said forever

Intensely emotional, gripping, and heart wrenching!

We Said Forever completely wrecked me! The raw emotions conveyed and life challenges these characters went through was so undeniably powerful, I have not been able to stop thinking about this book since I finished! I was about 35% into the story and so much had happened up to that point, it made me really wonder what could possibly happen next. And goodness gracious, SO much happened after that point, that my heart and mind were at a constant battle with each other. From happiness to anger, from the feelings of betrayal to loyalty, and from pain to unconditional love. This story pulls you in and consumes you, and makes you thoroughly invested with everything that happens right along with the characters.

I could go on and on and reveal spoilers about this book. But that would completely ruin the entire reading experience. This is the type of story that you dive head first into; a story where you’ll feel like you’re floating on the waves of pure joy, until it drags you down into it’s dark depths, drowning you in it’s vast ocean of despair.

I have read Marie James’ books before, but nothing could prepare me for We Said Forever. This book is without a doubt one of the best books I’ve ever read, and the story will stick with me forever.

Unequivocal love and respect for this book; 5+ Stars!

~Kelly

BLURB

Rock bottom.

They say the only way to go from there is up, but what is “up” when you’re born into someone else’s rock bottom?

At ten, football became my first love. It’s what got me out of the house away from my self-destructive family. My love for football landed me at Las Vegas University with a full ride scholarship, and the orange on my jersey was my favorite color…until my eyes landed on the red dress Fallyn wore the night we met.

At twenty-one, I jumped off the cliff into the unknown the second Fallyn McIntyre danced in my arms at a party. I had the greatest girl in the world and the opportunity to play college ball every Saturday. My rock bottom was looking up, thanks to my two first loves.

Parties, sex, and football—life was perfect. But one drink too many, and my world came crashing down. When I chose pills over my second love, my head told me it was the best decision I ever made. The pills keep me warm and protect me from the distance Fallyn created. Percs don’t judge me. They make me feel alive.

Threes.

They say the best things come in threes, but one leads to a stable future, one is my salvation, and the other drags me to hell—a hell I’d willingly burn in for eternity…if it weren’t for my second love.
