I was not prepared to be so much in love with Gioele. *ugly crying*

So this was my first Sunniva Dee book and I am flabbergasted with how bloody amazing it turned out to be. The blurb gives minimal hint about the book plot and I was VERY curious what would be the taboo element. I was not disappointed, y’all. My heart hurt the exact moment I found out what it was and I just wanted to reach inside and hug my boo, Gioele.

Gioele was just so sweet and tortured and possessive and so much in love. You can’t help but adore him. Even though his feelings for Silvina are taboo and it seems like they can’t possibly have a future together, you would still be rooting for a HEA for these two. YES THEY ARE THAT GOOD!!

This story was full of twists, turns and so much mystery. I was actually terrified of the outcomes at one point. But but Dee has got our backs and she did not break my heart. At least not that much. Dee’s writing is unique, expressive, exciting and so damn delicious. Can’t wait to read more of her books!

Our relationship was a sin, they said, but how can it be a sin to love so deeply?

She shouldn’t have listened to them.
Shouldn’t have left us behind.
You can’t help whom you love, and without Silvina, I didn’t give a damn.

A mafia prince without a cause becomes a rebel with nothing to lose.

My brother owned an adult entertainment studio.
He wanted me nowhere near it. Thankfully, his competition did.
I auditioned. Landed a contract.
It’s how I took my sins to a new level, my up-yours to la famiglia.

Until Silvina was kidnapped, and my world was thrown upside down.

Eric has been having second thoughts about his lifestyle and none of them are pretty. All his friends are sure he can never clean up his act and lead a monogamous life. Determined to prove his friends wrong he decides to get sober and leave behind his philanderer ways.

Then Jean moves into town and his plans seem to rattle. Not only she has zero interest in him, she is also heavily pregnant. This puts an obvious damper on his ego but he’s determined to be a good friend to her. Too bad his heart did’t get the memo.

Now he’s not only falling for Jean but also her beautiful little baby who Eric can’t help but adore. Can Eric convince Jean that what he feels and wants is true and forever?

GOSH Chaser was the cutest story. I adored Eric’s bond with Ada, Jean’s kid because it was quite possibly the sweetest purest thing I had ever witnessed. I wanted and craved more of it because it generally made my insides very happy.

Eric’s character development deserves a standing ovation because that man stood up and took charge like no one else. I loved how he supported and protected Jean. He just really genuinely loved her and wanted to make her happy. I swooned so much.

This story is told entirely from Eric’s PoV so you don’t get to hear Jean’s side but I actually really like her character. She is a sweet woman who just wants to have the best for her baby. Also, she stood up for our boy Eric and I LOVE THAT.

I liked this book a little less than the previous in the series. No specific reason but it just didn’t get me there. Still, I enjoyed it a lot and can’t wait to see whose book is next!!

Given his well-earned bad boy reputation, Eric is having a tough time scoring.. When single Jean moves to town, she seems heaven sent by the sex gods. Only problem is, she not only wants nothing to do with him, but it turns out that she’s pregnant.

Starting over in a small town, Jean is determined to turn her wild lifestyle around and be the kind of mother she always wished she’d had. Since local bar owner and all round hottie, Eric Collins, is now determined to steer clear of her pregnant self, it should be easy. There seems to be a bond between them now, but is it enough? And can Eric give up his manwhore ways to be the man Jean needs?

These two authors always knock it out of the park when they write together.

Rush and Gia were a happy accident, in which we got a nice slow burn out of them. Rush I loved of course and I liked Gia. As a reader we got, funny, sexy and angst.

But, don’t get too comfortable because we know and love these authors, so we know it won’t be all rainbows and butterflies.

All and All, a great read and I can’t wait until book two because the ending in book one, had me like whoa!

How to kick off a great summer in the Hamptons:

Snag a gorgeous rental on the beach. Check.

Get a job at a trendy summer haunt. Check.

How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons:

Fall for the one guy with a dark leather jacket, scruff on his face, and intense eyes that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the tony looking crowd. A guy you can’t have when you’ll be leaving at the end of the season.

Check. Check. Check.

I should add—especially when the guy is your sexy, tattooed God of a boss.

Especially when he not only owns your place of employment but inherited half of the town.

Especially when he’s mean to you.

Or so I thought.

Until one night when he demanded I get in his car so he could drive me home because he didn’t want me walking in the dark.

That was sort of how it all started with Rush.

And then little by little, some of the walls of this hardass man started to come down.

I never expected that the two of us, seemingly opposites from the outside, would grow so close.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for the rebel heir, especially when he made it clear he didn’t want to cross the line with me.

As the temperature turned cooler, the nights became hotter. My summer became a lot more interesting—and complicated.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

**Rebel Heir is the first book in the Rush Series Duet. Book Two, Rebel Heart, will release six weeks later on May, 22, 2018.

Audio Review: ONE MORE TIME by Laurelin Paige

One More Time by Laurelin Paige
Genre: contemporary, second chance romance
Publisher: Audible Studios
Publication Date: January 30, 2018
Rating: ★★★★✰

A swoony and emotional second-chance romance!

I really enjoyed listening to One More Time! It’s making me anxious and gitty to read the actual book, which is an exceptional quality to have in an audiobook.

The storyline was sweet and sexy, but also delved into the deeper, more emotional aspects of two people finding love again with each other. The narration was superb, and I loved both characters’ POV. Each were feeling the same, and each were having difficulties with expressing how they truly felt. But to actually listen and hear the progress they’ve each achieved, and to lay their hearts on the line once again, really showcased each character growth from the time their hearts were initially broken. And only each other had the ability to heal the other’s broken heart.

One More Time was an amazingly well written book that exudes emotional unrest, longing, and sizzling chemistry. Both narrators did a fantastic job portraying Tanner and Jenna, and the wonderful storyline makes this story a quick-listen and one you’ll enjoy from beginning to end.

Ten years ago we were the toast of the town.

Tanner’s acting career had just begun. He was hotter than the stage lights and twice as captivating. The gorgeous Australian A-lister was everyone’s teenage dream. And he’d picked me. Or so I thought, until he proved to be as false as everything else about Hollywood.

Now I’ve finally scored the perfect opportunity to star in a major film. The kicker? Tanner will be my costar. I don’t know if I can do this one more time….

Right now we’re the talk of the town.

Jenna’s even more beautiful than she was the last time we were together. And just like before, I can’t keep my hands off her. She still doesn’t know the truth. The secret of what really happened back then.

Now I have the length of this shoot to convince her to rewrite our script. But if I have her one more time, will once ever be enough?

This book was hot hot hot! As a first time Madison Faye reader, I had no idea what to expect but I’m always down for menage. So, I was super pumped for the story and it did not disappoint one bit.

This story is sinfully hot and it’s going to get you hot and bothered so many times.

Max, Gareth and Nolan are just so over the top alphas and so God damn filthy, you have to love them. There is no other option. I loved how they couldn’t help themselves.

I actually really liked Cora’s character. She surprised me so much and man she’s lowkey a badass. I giggled when she made those three adult men work so hard. It was so amazing to watch.

This is a quick, steamy, dirty read and such a fantastic ride.

Too innocent. Too so-much-younger. Too much my student.  Too much our student, actually.

Fate threw her in front of me. The feel of her lips on mine had me taking what I never should have touched.

…My inability to walk away from trouble had me saving her when I should have let it be.

But now she’s here in my house – me, her college professor. And it’s not just me either, there are three of us living here. Three big, rough, hardened older men – men twice her age.

…Men who can’t f*cking look away from the tempting little tease sleeping right down the hall.

But saving her or not, there are rules that she’ll follow under this roof. And when Cora Hartley decides she doesn’t need to follow them, she’s going to learn just how wrong she is.

Three men like us can only be teased and tested for so long, before she gets a firm hand of discipline.

…Or three.

Hang onto your tushies, we’re about to wild. Don’t show your friends this book, they’ll probably judge you. Luckily, I won’t, and my lips are sealed ;).

Alpha af, wildly over-the-top, silly, steamy, and sweet enough to make your teeth hurt. This mfmm romance is allabout her – no m/m. Safe, no cheating, and a HEA guaranteed.

Please note: this is a VERY loose sequel to Double Daddies, involving side characters from that book. You absolutely DO NO have to have read that book to fully enjoy this one though!

Review: RECOVERED by Jay Crownover

Affton Reed wants nothing to do with the rowdy crowd of her high school. Her priorities are focused on just one goal – getting out of this wretched town and getting into her dream college. Only one person is standing in her way, Cable James McCaffery. Affton let addiction ruin her life once, she won’t let Cable do it to her again.

Cable’s life is a fast decent into addiction. One wrong decision and his life spiraled out of control in ways he couldn’t have imagined. Now he has to live with the dire consequences.

Affton and Cable hate each other but their lives have severely tangled and there is no way out alone.

This book was a hard one to read. Cable’s addition followed by his rocky road to recovery was a difficult journey and experiences it with him was equally tough. I just wanted to hug this poor man and make his problems go away. I was so proud of him at the end. I can’t even imagine how someone like him deals with problems that seem so severe. I loved his character arc and development. It was realistic, raw and so inspiring.

Affton is a badass. I am pretty sure she can bring down nations just with her words. I adored the way she gave all of herself to help Cable but still knew when to draw a line. She didn’t let anything bring her down or overtake her dreams. SUCH A MAJESTIC CHARACTER!

This is a hauntingly beautiful story which needs to be experienced by all.

It was hate at first sight…

I hated Cable James McCaffrey.

He was entitled, spoiled, a user…and an addict.

He was out of control and didn’t bother trying to hide it.

He had everything anyone could want but still seemed miserable and lost.

Every move he made, every mistake he stumbled his way through, rubbed me the wrong way. However, I couldn’t stop myself from trying to save him from himself when no one else would. In the sweltering heat of the summer, Cable taught me that having it all means nothing if you can’t have the one thing you want more than anything else.

I was obsessed with Affton Reed.

She was rigid, uptight, and no fun. There was something about her innate goodness that called to me.

She acted like she was above all the normal faults and failures that clung to the rest of us like the scent of smoke after a fire.

I was infatuated with her, but that didn’t stop me from acting like she didn’t exist.

In the scorching heat of summer, Affton taught me that there is always a way back from the brink of despair. She showed me that the trick to having it all was realizing that it was already there, in my hands. All I had to do was hold onto it.

The road to recovery is full of twists and turns no matter who is in the driver’s seat.
