A short taboo story about vampires, what’s not to love? I haven’t read a book with vampires in it probably since Twilight and this definitely isn’t twilight. I mean if memory serves me correctly Edward was hot and all brooding, but Laurant is even better.

For a short read it certainly felt like it was longer, it was packed full of stuff. Casti turned out to be quite the badass, which I’m sure she had to be with what she was dealt in life. She could have been a victim the rest of her life, but she chose to be a warrior vampire slayer.

Laurant and Casti were all kinds of hot. So if you’re in the mood for sexy hotness and vampires, I recommend this book. To end my review I will say I was surprised by the ending and I have no clue why, just because she was a vampire slayer doesn’t mean it couldn’t have ended the way it did.
