The Pool boy by Nikki Sloane
Series: Nashville Neighborhood, book 2
Genre: forbidden romance
Publisher: Shady Creek Publishing
Publication Date: August 11, 2020
Rating: ★★★1/2
Troy and Erika were such an explosive couple. I could absolutely feel their chemistry burning off the pages. I couldn’t put the book down because I wanted to see how their relationship was going to evolve.
Troy is every youngster trying to find a path in their life while dealing with various pressures and their own insecurities. His character was so relatable and yes this boy DRIPS hotness. He is just so swoon worthy. A country boy through and through!
I liked Erika but I couldn’t connect with her much. I absolutely love a woman exploring her sexuality and getting the appreciation she deserves. And I love Troy for her.
While I think the story was truly hot and filled with raw passion, I had a hard time connecting to it.. I think Troy and Erika needed more emotional moments to connect them with love. I wanted to see more of them madly and deeply in love but that didn’t happen.
I cannot wait to read what’s next in this series because these books have proven to be off the charts hot.
3.5 Stars!

Synopsis:
Nothing says happy birthday like catching your husband in a compromising position with his boss.
His male boss.
Why, hello, midlife crisis. I’m starting over, but this time I’m doing it right. Or at least I’m doing what I want.
Taking the day off from work to hang out poolside? Yup. Do I leave the swimsuit in my house? Sure.
Does my very hot, twenty-something pool boy happen to catch me naked? Oh, yeah, he does. And he likes what he sees… a lot.
My best friend keeps telling me to have a fling and get back out there. But I’m not so sure she meant for me to do it with her son.
