Synopsis

Trey Westcott—devastatingly gorgeous. Intimidatingly brilliant. Powerful beyond belief.

A man with all the money in the world—literally.

As the first trillionaire in existence, my boss lives a life most people can only dream of. Anything he wants—anything at all—is a snap-of-the-fingers away.

But when the coldhearted magnate snaps his fingers and requests me for a six month stint on his arm playing the role of his devoted fiancée, he makes an offer I can’t refuse.

And so I don’t.

But I make it clear that for the next 180 days, he’ll have my time, my body, my attention, my discreet professionalism—everything except my heart.

It’s not for sale.

Because all the money in the world can’t change the secret I’ve kept the last ten years. A secret that complicates the very business deal I’m to help him secure. A secret that makes the undeniable tension between us all the more forbidden.

Trey Westcott can have anything he wants … but he can never have me.

Even if he’s all I’ve ever wanted.

Fake relationship tropes are my weakness, especially with an irresistible boss!

Trillion is a sexy and emotional romance featuring two broken characters. Sophie’s heart was broken at a young age by putting her trust and love in the wrong man. Vowing to never be ‘bought’ again, she focuses on taking care of her mother and younger sister. But Trey makes her an offer that seems too good to be true. Trey also suffered his own heartbreak. Having lost both his parents at a young age, he dedicates his life to work, growing his business into a huge conglomerate and hitting the epic ‘trillionaire’ milestone. But he needs Sophie’s help.

Sophie and Trey have a complicated relationship. Not only are they boss/employee, they also have an undeniable attraction towards each other. Trey needs to prove that he’s a “family man” in order to acquire a business he’s been working on purchasing. So in comes the fake fiancé deal. As a man who always gets what he wants, Trey doesn’t take no for an answer. Willing to do whatever it takes to support her family, Sophie accepts. But at what cost? And as they work together to prove their relationship is real, their emotions and broken hearts intertwine with the fake and her past collides with their present.

Sophie was the standout in this novel. My own heart broke for the experiences she endured as a young woman. The manipulation and deceit she fell victim to was just gut wrenching. It’s no wonder she had such tall and thick walls surrounding her heart. But I knew Trey could break down those defenses and prove to Sophie that not all men are like the one from her past. And she was the perfect woman Trey needed to balance out his life. Their chemistry was sweet and fiery, with the addition of witty banter and emotional twists.

Although the ending did feel a bit rushed, the epilogue put a nice bow on the conclusion of their story, giving readers just a bit more of their HEA.

Trillion is full of heat, heart, and empathy. The writing is superb, like always, and the charming characters and engaging story line make this book an absolute must read!

4 Stars!
