So that was fun?? And by fun I meant soul crushing and prompting me into a permanent fetal position.

This is where Billy and Claire started so of course there was going to be a lot of stuff to unpack.

I knew going in this book was going to test every emotion I have and it did. I’m actually happy and sad about how everything went in the story and just to think there is more to come. I’m excited and terrified and there is actually a word for it FRISSION . My body is in constant frission rn and it’s not going to end anytime soon.

William Shakespeare Winston is turning out to be the love of my life and I’m happily letting him because that is what you do when it’s Billy freakin Winston. I might have closed the book at regular intervals just so I could sob and wonder about the heart warming and ENDEARING AS HECK human Billy is. I might have to tell my mom about him as well.

So someone needs to make sure that I don’t throw hands if Claire doesn’t get her HEA. My heart always hurts for anyone who comes from a broken home but specially for her because I love her with everything that I am. So she needs to be protected from this evil world or I’m cancelling myself forever.

Am I ready for the next part? HECK NO.
Do I absolutely need it? YAAAS
Will it ruin me? NO DOUBT

5 Stars!

beard with me

‘Beard With Me’ is the origin story of Billy Winston and Scarlet St. Claire (aka Claire McClure) and is just the beginning of their epic love story.

No one is better at surviving than Scarlet St. Claire and making the best out of circumstances beyond her control is Scarlet’s specialty. In an apocalyptic situation, she’d be the last person on earth, hermitting like a pro, singing along to her CD Walkman, and dancing like no one is watching.

Scarlet is clever, Scarlet is careful, and Scarlet is smart . . . except when it comes to Billy Winston.

No one is better at fighting than Billy Winston and raging against his circumstances—because nothing is beyond his control—is Billy’s specialty. In an apocalyptic situation, he’d be the first person on earth to lead others to safety, overcome catastrophe, or die trying.

Billy is fearless, Billy is disciplined, and Billy is honorable . . . except when it comes to Scarlet St. Claire.
