There aren’t enough stars in our planetary system for this book.

All Moti ever wanted was to be loved. But thanks to an ominous prophesy and the continuous unhelpful efforts of her eccentric mother, Moti has had a difficult time living life. Now the man of her dreams resembles the man who’ll save Moti’s mothers life.

And it’s definitely not the hot chef onboard their yacht.

Every moment spent with him tangles her feelings with him. Falling in love with him cannot be an option but avoid her hearts get impossible with every passing day.

First of all, how did no one tell me to read more Leylah Attar books? How is this my first read by her? Y’all are false friends!

This story made my heart feel like it was a garden full of unicorns eating ambrosia 24×7. I don’t know what could be happier than it, if you do imagine that and it’s this book. At this point anything I say will sound like an understatement because nothing I say will ever be able to properly describe how on top of the World I felt while reading this story.

Moti is the love of my life, my brown queen, my quirky boo!! I felt all of her problems at my core and I cannot tell you how immensely I connected to her. I hold her story so dear to my heart that I will be reading it again and again. I have so much respect for Moti being a modern woman and being this incredible inspiration as a brown woman. WE STAN!!

Alex, my flirty greek God!! My heart is gone for him and I am never getting it back. He can keep it forever and learn how to deal with my affections because I cannot be anymore in love with him. The things he did, the things he said, made my heart race and I can’t properly describe what all I felt because there were 1000 different things going through my mind and all of them pointed to me being unable to resist him.

This story is the story of love, family and togetherness. This one has a permanent place in my heart and I’ll be reading this again and again for the rest of my life.

5 Stars!

moti on the water

Synopsis:
A Greek family. An Indian family. A summer wedding on the Aegean coast…

Meet Moti Ferreira—spectacularly jinxed from the day she’s born.

Saddled with an eccentric mother, she stumbles upon the one man who holds the key to her freedom—the best man at her cousin’s upcoming wedding.

All Moti has to do is overcome her fear of water, board a yacht to the Greek Isles, seduce the dreamy Nikos Manolas, and survive two weeks at sea with her oddball family.

The only obstacle Moti doesn’t see coming is Alexandros Veronis, the onboard chef and star witness to her awkward mishaps. He transforms onions into chocolate and aroma into nostalgia. Day by day, his alchemy works its magic on Moti. But she’s not the only one falling under his spell. Everyone has a secret, growing round and ripe at Chef Alex’s table. When the masks fall off, they spill out one by one, and everything blows up in their faces.

Now Moti’s truth is exposed, and worse, she’s hooked on more than Alex’s midnight snacks. But this time, screwing up could be the best thing she’s ever done…
