I AM CANCELLED!!!!
Y’all I can’t even believe this book is real but I know it is because I can’t hallucinate this sheer amount of awesomeness. Like I’m good but I’m not BB level good.
My heart was in my mouth for 99% of this book because I expected 0% of the things happening. I am still shaking because this story has wrecked me to the bone and I feel like it’s only just begun. I LOVE how different it is from the 1400 apocalyptic movies I’ve seen.
Praying For Rain is the freshest, most epic and tragically beautiful story I’ve read this year and I know for a fact that BB is going to top it with the next installment because creating shit that makes you lose your mind is peak BB Easton.
I love Rain and Wes together. These two are utterly dysfunctional on their own but somehow they make the best damn team and if there’s anyone who can survive impending doom I hope to God it’s them.
Y’all don’t know my level of excitement for this series. Like it’s at par with my obsession for GoT and I’m insane for that show.
5 Stars!

Synopsis:
With only three days left until the predicted apocalypse, the small town of Franklin Springs, Georgia, has become a wasteland of abandoned cars, abandoned homes, abandoned businesses, and abandoned people. People like Rainbow Williams.
Rain isn’t afraid of dying. In fact, she’s looking forward to it. If she can just outrun her pain until April 23, she’ll never have to feel it at all.
Wes Parker has survived every horrible thing this life has thrown at him with nothing more than his resourcefulness and disarming good looks. Why should the end of the world be any different? All he needs are some basic supplies, shelter, and a sucker willing to help him out, which is exactly what he finds when he returns to his hometown of Franklin Springs.
As society crumbles, dangers mount, and secrets refuse to stay buried, two lost souls are thrust together in a twist of fate—one who will do anything to survive and one who can’t wait to die.
Perhaps, together, they can learn how to live.
Before their time runs out.
