All the stars in all the universes in all realities possible.
Six lives too deeply intertwined. Six friends on the verge of discovering decade old secrets. Six souls on the brink of being torn apart. One wild decimating ruin that calls their soul. Can they resist? Or are they fated for the doom that awaits them?
I took a lot of time to first read and then think about my review for this book. I have never done that but this story left me so utterly unraveled that I couldn’t think straight for hours.
It’s also extremely rare that I feel unworthy of a story, of an author’s art. This was one of those times. I was not expecting even 1% of the story and I can’t explain exactly how hard and fast it hit me. I catch myself thinking about it at random times because what else are you supposed to do?
I am in love with all of the six characters and if you make me chose one, I’ll scream.
I adore how Sierra writes her characters. Her men are emotional, vulnerable, powerful and so goddamn tortured. Her women her three dimensional, strong and so inspiring. These are the kind of characters you need and deserve to read.
I have no idea what’s more in store but you bet your pants I’m anticipating it with equal parts dread and insane excitement.
After that ending tho I am OFFICIALLY CANCELLED till June because this book ruined me and now I forgot how to act.

Once upon a time, six children stumbled upon a wild place hidden deep in the moors, shrouded by secrets and fog. There we played a game among the roses and the thorns that would change us forever, that would follow us the rest of our lives. A game that ended with a hard kiss in the rain and tattered flower petals fluttering from above…
And twelve years later, we’re back.
I’m not going to dream of a forgotten place covered in thorns every night.
I won’t be enchanted by Thornchapel and its glossy, glamorous people. I’m not going to fall in love or have my heart torn in two.
I’m not telling the truth.
Because as this place slowly tightens its coil of secrets and thorns around us, as we uncover the knotted mysteries that grow here, the six of us begin to unravel into filthy, holy pleasure and pain. Fulfilling the promise we once made as children in those whispering ruins, and awakening a fate that will either anoint us or leave us in ashes…
