Galen has been hated by many for centuries. He doesn’t care much for the disdain he receives. What he cares about is the woman who has captured his thoughts since the day she met him; Legion. He knows she went through hell and endured unspeakable abuse and that he somewhere failed to protect her.
But the Fates have provided him with a second chance, he’s determined to show her all the pleasures imaginable. But he didn’t realize he’d fall hard for her in the process.
So I haven’t read this series AT ALL but I thought I’d give it a go since this is supposed to be a standalone. And I’m so so happy to have read it.
Galen is such a cutie. Like sure he likes to give skulls of their enemies as romantic gifts and easily wipes an army but HE IS CUTE DAMNIT. His letters, the way he flirted with Legion, his care for her and just the way he loved her made me swoon so hard. I fell in love with him in the first page itself. He is just such a treasure, I want 5 of him.
Legion is my hero and I wish I could be her best friend. She has been through so much but she found it in herself to fight and become the badass she was always meant to be. I literally whooped and screamed at the end because SHE DID THAT!!!
This story was just the perfect introduction to the Lords Of The Underworld universe. This series has been on my TBR for quite some time and now I’m going to read them ASAP because I need this to soothe my soul. What an amazing story!

For centuries, Galen the Treacherous has been the most hated immortal in the Underworld. With good reason! This bad boy of bad boys has lied, stolen, cheated and killed with abandon. Possessed by the demons of Jealousy and False Hope, he has always lived for a single purpose: destroy everything.
Then he met her.
Former demon turned human femme fatale — Legion Honey — sought to kill Galen, but ended up parting with her virginity instead. Afraid of their sizzling connection, she ran away…and ended up trapped in hell, tortured and abused in the worst of ways. Now she’s free, and a shell of herself, afraid of her own shadow.
Galen’s hunger for Legion has only grown. Now the warrior with nothing to lose must help her rekindle the fire that once burned inside her. But as desires blaze white-hot, will Legion run again? Or will the unlikely pair succumb to love at long last?
