Nine hundred thousand billion stars for Cal “The Man Brick” Hartshorn!

Cal has always been awkward and shy when it comes to women. He always finds himself saying the wrong thing in their presence. That is exactly what happens when he “runs into” Stella, the woman he has been slightly obsessing over for the past few months. One hour with her and he’s already proposing marriage.

Stella learnt her lesson about relationships long ago. She knows she’s not meant for commitment so she does whatever comes easier to her. A set of rules with zero expectations make sure no one gets hurt. Then Cal comes barreling into her life and suddenly she is awash with foreign feelings. Feelings she has no business entertaining.

He wants forever with her. She’s convinced no such thing exists.

Oh my god this book did a number on me. I mean every Kate Canterbary book does that to me but this book really reallydid it for me. At one point I actually cried because I was going through five hundred feelings at once.

Cal is the love of my life and I’d fight all the nations armies AT ONCE to protect him. No one matters except him. NO ONE! He is just so sweet and filthy and caring and dirty at the same time? Iwould walk on fire for this man and I don’t even know how to fucking address that emotion. I cannot believe that he is just fictional. I genuinely want to believe there are guys out there like Cal who love their woman to death. *cathartic screams of love*

Stella was not an easy character to like. At first I seemed to me like she was constantly mocking Cal for being a tad obsessive while at the same time really enjoying it. But that lasted for like the first 30% then I started understanding her and man I fell in love. Yeah she messed up but she owned it and made sure to set it right. I adore this woman so hardcore.

This story was such an emotional journey, man. Because Cal was already at the peak and you had to just stay and watch Stella catch up while she was sometimes being dumb and you couldn’t do anything up scream at your screen for a short respite. What I’m saying is, I love this book with all my heart and lungs and liver. I want more so much more. ( <— this makes me sound like Hannibal but I’m just really in love with this story, okay? )

5 Stars!
