Skye Copeland was just doing her job. But apparently, fate didn’t agree and Skye embarrassed herself by making a giant wiener on national television. If that wasn’t enough she became the Youtube sensation, “Penis Lady”. Her boss forced her to take a vacation and Skye has only one place to go to; the town she detests the most, Vermont.
She figured she’ll help her step-sister and be out before anyone ever notices.
Alas, fate is still a cruel b-word and Skye is stuck in Vermont surrounded by drug dealers and unsavoury conspiracies regarding the only family she has left. Because misery loves company, she comes face to face with the only man who she has ever loved, the man who broke her heart and her trust, Benito.
Skye needs Benito to help find her sister. Benito needs to protect Skye from literally everything. But he also plans on winning her back. Because the two of them have always belonged to each other.
I think this is my most favourite True North book.
I freaking adore Skye. She is such a badass and the way she made a whole life for herself and was actually the most stable human? Even after all the disturbing stuff she went to just made my heart swell with love for her. I admire her courage and passion so much. She might have come off as a bit of a pushover but I felt that she is just that good of a person but at the same time knows when to pick her battles.
Benito is my one true love. I cannot tell you how much I really loved him. This is a man who was constantly bogged down by life, circumstances and even the system. But he rose above and now he’s living his beautiful life. *broken sobs* His love for Skye and the utter devotion made my heart ache with so many emotions. I think his love was of the purest sort. Also, man oh man Benito is one hot sob. I think I actually cried tears of desperation whenever he talked.
I absolutely with all my heart love this story. It was pretty unique and the mystery element made the reading experience tenfold amazing.

Skye Copeland is on paid leave from her broadcasting job after accidentally drawing a pecker on the traffic map.
Let that sink in. Like it’s her fault the traffic pattern created a perfect schlong?
Skye isn’t laughing. She needs this job. And that’s the only reason she’s willing to chase down a story in her least favorite place—that hell on earth known as Vermont.
A quick trip. In and out. Much like – never mind. She can sneak into the town that once tried to break her, get the story and slide back into the good graces of her producer. Easy peasy.
But things go sideways the moment she steps over the county line. Her stepsister is running from a violent drug dealer. And the cop on the case is none other than Benito Rossi, the man who broke Skye’s teenage heart.
His dark brown eyes still tear her apart. And even as she steels herself to finally tell him off after twelve years, the old fireworks are still there.
Things are about to go boom.
