Rating: ★★★★★
As a small child, Rhona was marked by the Necromancer. Ever since her entire village has hated and feared her. They think she’s evil, they don’t know she belongs to him.
When the mysterious illness that almost killed her comes back to haunt other children of the village, Rhona is determined to bring back the Necromancer; to cure the children and to clear her name. But the scary man up the hill has other plans for her. Plans that are dark and terrifying and absolutely insane.
Can Rhona save herself and all the children? Or is it too late for her?
Okay this book is absolutely left of center and unreal and man I love every bit of it. I was not expecting to love it so damn much but I do I really really do. I know the entire concept seems weird and uneasy but it’s not and I couldn’t get enough of it.
I want more of Rhona’s kookiness, more of Meremon’s cryptic non verbal responses. It is also hot??? and it took me some time to come to terms with that but dang dang DANG, Brianna Hale knows how to play with your emotions and she does it like a pro.
When can we get more of this?? That’s the only question rn.
5 Stars!

Synopsis:
When I was a child he brought me back from the brink of death. Since that day I have borne his mark, a black star in the center of my left palm. The villagers say it brands me as evil. I think it means something far worse. It marks me as his.
The disease that nearly killed me has returned to the village and children are dying. I’m the only one who dares to climb the mountain and learn his secrets. In exchange I’m to clean his house and help with his strange experiments, but Meremon wants more. He wants me. And it isn’t long before I discover that his demands are as twisted as his experiments.
Warning: This story is a dark fantasy romance with scenes of non-consent and dubious consent. Additionally, Meremon is a necromancer and enjoys unusual things. Some sex scenes might be strange or creepy for some readers.
As always with Brianna Hale books, no cheating, and a guaranteed happily ever after. THE NECROMANCER’S BRIDE is a novella of 16,000 words.
