Raina is a bloody Queen and I won’t be surprised if one day she decided to raise an army and obliterate nations. She’ll totally win, btw. I really liked her character and I love the fact that she found it in herself to trust some people even after all the shit she went through. She is also smart and brave beyond my mortal comprehension. I AM IN AWE!
Lorne, my tortured soft baby. I love this man. My heart breaks for the all the years he lost with his family and so many other things he had so sacrifice. His character grew so much in this story that I couldn’t get enough of him. 10/10 would read another book just about Lorne living his day to day life.
I knew Lorne and Raina’s journey would be difficult. They have gone through too much pain to just magically be okay. I was prepared for it to be brutal to the core. But I didn’t really get the intensity I was hoping for. Don’t get me wrong, this book still made my heart hurt, it just wasn’t at that max 100%. I was also hoping we could get to see more of Lorne and Raina dealing with the mental aftermath of their struggles but it was sort of missing.
This entire trilogy was an emotional roller coaster but it was also one of the most epic stories I’ve ever read. These beautiful characters will forever be printed on my heart and I can’t even tell you how much I’ll miss them. I am deliriously happy and a tad sad it all ended. But this means more Pam goodness is on the way.
