If I tell you that I was expecting this book to hit be like fifteen tons of bricks then I’d be a lying liar. Honest to God, I didn’t even read the blurb. I just saw that it was Aly Martinez and the title hinted that it would hurt my soul andI WAS DOWN FOR IT. I have given Aly my wholehearted permission to hurt me with her brilliant stories, with her words and with these twisted beautiful crazy ass worlds she creates.

This story got under my skin and lodged itself forever. I remember every thing that happened because I was doing nothing else except drown in Penn and Cora. I had no idea where I was because I was so involved so invested in their happiness that I didn’t even want to breathe till they got their HEA.

But of course this is a duet not everything will be pain free. This book would have made me hulk out if not for the last chapter. Before that I was bawling my eyes out, snot everywhere, wondering how I’ll move on with my life. But after finishing it, I was giggling like a loon, snot everywhere, wondering how I’ll move on with my life. * I absolutely won’t.*

Just conquer your fear of angst and pain and heartaches because this story will give you that and so much more. But it’ll also give you a story so beautiful and raw, you won’t know how to cope with it. It’s the best goddamn feeling it the World and everyone needs to experience it.
