I just can’t get enough of The Rascals Series!
Heartbreaker….the perfect title for this book, because that’s the exact ambience you get while reading this story. Liam…the heartbreaker. And Juliet, his inevitable victim.
While reading this book, I experienced a whirlwind of emotions. Juliet was a refreshing, joyful character to connect with. Having her entire world turned upside down from a career-ending injury, she takes the fresh start that was thrust upon her and challenges herself to experience everything that was previously forbidden for her. Her personality was infectious and brought a fun and boisterous quality to the storyline. And then you have Liam. Mr. Control Freak. Mr. Hot and Cold. He embodies everything Juliet isn’t. His strict and carefully constructed life is the exact life Juliet left behind. His ideals and goals in achieving the perfect life, with the perfect woman by his side, seem unattainable. But can Liam trust himself and overcome the fear of his past repeating itself, and allow himself to feel and take a chance on someone he least expected?
I really, really liked this book! And what a roller coaster of emotions this story elicits! One minute I wanted to climb Liam like a tree, high-five Juliet, slap Liam, shake Juliet, and then cuddle them both, reassuring them that everything will work itself out. The chemistry between them was provocatively magnetic, and their entire relationship was both heartbreaking and heartwarming.
Heartbreaker was the perfect addiction to the Rascals series! This book was wonderfully penned with equal parts humor, heartache, and passion. I can’t wait for what’s to come in this series for Sawyer and Dante.
