Scoring the Quarterback by S.M. Soto
Genre: sports romance

Publication Date: May 15, 2018
Rating: ★★★★✰
Luke Caldwell is a master at getting women. They fall at his feet and he only has to smile to achieve that feat. The manwhore quarterback loves nothing more than a challenge.
Natalia’s goals revolve around acing school and leaving her messed up family far away. No one can fuck with her except Luke. She was ready for a thick-headed jock who knew nothing except screwing women. What she wasn’t prepared for was a boy who’d become her best friend and take a permanent place in her heart.
She can’t stop herself from falling for the quarterback. Maybe she’ll be able to save her heart in the process.
This story was so fricking adorable. Man I love enemies to lovers but this was enemies to friends to lovers which I’m always here for.
Luke was the quintessential cocky jock who knew what he wants and knows how to get it. His confidence made me grin and giggle so bad. God, he was good so good. Natalia’s character went through a lot of developments and they were so amazing. Her journey was a tough one but man did she persist.
I adored Natalia and Luke’s banter. It was always so hilarious and damn sexy.
Even though this was my first SM Soto book, I was expecting to connect with it more, to love it more. I just had different expectations of where and how the story would lead. It was a bit of a slow burn so that was frigging amazing. All in all this story is worth a shot!
3.5 Stars!

Synopsis:
An epic Frenemies to lovers romance…
Luke Caldwell has three abhorrent qualities to him:
1) He’s a pig-headed jock.
2) He’s a grade A asshole with the biggest, overbearing ego.
3) He’s a manwhore.
These three qualities alone should’ve had me running for the hills. I tried to steer clear of him, I really did, but it was an impossible feat. Luke Caldwell was nothing if not persistent and the way he bulldozed through my life, not taking no for an answer is proof of it.
I tried to stay away from him.
I wanted to hate him. But I couldn’t.
Luke was nothing like the idiot jock I pegged him out to be. He became a friend, a confidant, and after one unforgettable night, he became so much more.
Whatever this is between us, it’s impossible to ignore. I just hope when all is said and done, I won’t be burned by the college bad boy.
*Scoring the Quarterback is book two in the San Diegan Series, a series of Standalone novels.
