I was not prepared to be so much in love with Gioele. *ugly crying*

So this was my first Sunniva Dee book and I am flabbergasted with how bloody amazing it turned out to be. The blurb gives minimal hint about the book plot and I was VERY curious what would be the taboo element. I was not disappointed, y’all. My heart hurt the exact moment I found out what it was and I just wanted to reach inside and hug my boo, Gioele.

Gioele was just so sweet and tortured and possessive and so much in love. You can’t help but adore him. Even though his feelings for Silvina are taboo and it seems like they can’t possibly have a future together, you would still be rooting for a HEA for these two. YES THEY ARE THAT GOOD!!

This story was full of twists, turns and so much mystery. I was actually terrified of the outcomes at one point. But but Dee has got our backs and she did not break my heart. At least not that much. Dee’s writing is unique, expressive, exciting and so damn delicious. Can’t wait to read more of her books!
