He was an artist. She was his muse.

To everyone in town, Abel Adams was the devil’s spawn, a boy who never should have been born. A monster.

To twelve year-old Evie Hart, he was just a boy with golden hair, soft t-shirts and a camera. A boy who loved taking her picture and sneaking her chocolates before dinner. A boy who made her feel special.

Despite her family’s warnings, she loved him in secret for six years. They met in empty classrooms and kissed in darkened church closets. Until they couldn’t.

Until the time came to choose between love and family, and Evie chose Abel.

Because their love was worth the risk. Their love was the stuff of legend.

But the thing about legends is that they are cautionary tales. They are made of choices and mistakes. And for Abel and Evie, the artist and the muse, those mistakes come in the form of lights, camera, sex.

NOTE: This is NOT a paranormal or a priest romance.

ONE BILLION STARS because Saffron A. Kent!!!!

Abel Adams was hated by everyone in his town. All his life he’s been made out to be a monsters when he was nothing but an innocent child caught in the deeds of his parents.

Evie Hart was the town’s princess. All her life she was warned off from Abel and forced to stay away from him.

But love always finds a way.

Abel and Evie fell in love as mere kids. They carried on their love in secret till it grew to big to be contained. And when the time came to choose between her family and Abel, Evie chose him because their love was worth the risk.

Together in a strange city, Abel and Evie find out that falling in love in easy but living with it when your hearts have been tainted with anger and pain is the real test. Will their mistakes catch up to them and destroy everything they built? Or can they overcome those hurdles to prove that their love is truly the stuff of legends.

I just like to come out and say that I am insanely proud of Saffron for writing this hauntingly beautiful story. This story wasn’t easy to read so I can’t even imagine how difficult it would have been for her to write. I had to take breaks in between because the intensity was making my heart ache. But I loved every goddamn minute of it.

Abel and Evie have a difficult relationship. Both of them loved too intensely and couldn’t figure out ways to channel their love in a way that wouldn’t hurt the other. It took them time but they got to the part where they realised what the other truly needs. Following their love story was a beautiful journey. It had it’s ups and downs and it truly came out asLEGENDARY.

My heart hurt because of all the things Abel and Evie went through, separately and together. No kid deserves to go through so much unnecessary pain. The fact that those two find the purest of love in each other was just the work of fate. It might not have been perfect but it was meant to be.

I have been a fan of Saffron’s from her first book and I always will be. The woman writes like a true poet. Her words touch your heart, make it ache and then soothe it in the most glorious of ways. I’ll be looking forward with baited breath for more extra-ordinary stories from this brilliant writer.

5 Stars!

Author Bio

Writer of bad romances. Aspiring Lana Del Rey of the Book World.

Saffron is a big believer in love (obviously). She believes in happily ever after, the butterflies and the tingling. But she also believes in edgy, rough and gutsy kind of love. She believes in pushing the boundaries, darker (sometimes morally ambiguous) emotions and imperfections.

The kind of love she writes about is flawed just like her characters. And she hopes by the end of it, you’ll come to root for them just as much as she does. Because love, no matter where it comes from, is always pure and beautiful.

She is represented by Meire Dias of Bookcase Agency.
