Molly Darling thought she was a regular teenager with everyday teenage problems. But on her 19th birthday, everything she held to be true turns out to be lies upon lies that hide a dangerous secret.

Three centuries ago, her ancestors signed a contract in blood with daemons to protect themselves. The price of that contract was Molly’s betrothal to a daemon prince and she’ll have to pay it in spades. It doesn’t matter that her betroth, Tensley Knight looks like a Greek God or that he makes her insides feel funny. He is only agreeing to this marriage because of the potential powers that Molly possesses. If it were upto him, he’d be done with her yesterday.

But, Molly sees something in Tensley that makes her think that his asshole behaviour might just be a facade and everything inside of her wants to prove this right.

They are set on a dangerous path with deadly enemies and all they’ve got is each other.

Okay first of all, TENSLEY IS A GOD!!!! I know I know he’s a daemon but holy mother he could very possibly be a freaking God. I have a weak spot for asshole bad boys. But asshole bad boy who might also be tortured??? THEY CAN HAVE MY WHOLE HEART. I loved loved loved Tensley’s character and the fact that he is so problematic. I mean, we all know he secretly wants to make babies with Molly but I’ll play along for the time being. Did I already say I love him? Because I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!!

Molly and Tensley’s chemistry is OFF THE CHARTS HAWT! The ‘whole will they won’t they’ because they hate each other but secretly want to hump is such a hot trope and R. Scarlett did a fanfuckingtastic job of making it come to life with these two.

I am so excited for this series because honestly the entire premise is amazing and I am so here for it. CANNOT WAIT to read more of these books. I’m a fan for life!!!

“Darkness isn’t all one shade, sweetheart.”

Three centuries ago, Molly Darling’s ancestors signed a contract in blood—daemon blood—to protect themselves from harm. On the eve she turns nineteen, Molly leaves for her birthday party against her parent’s wishes, sick of their warnings about her “betrothal to a demon.”

Except that she’s very much betrothed, and he’s very much a demon—one who’s only agreed to the nuptials to steal Molly’s ancient daemon powers. Brash, arrogant, and built like a Greek god, Tensley Knight keeps showing up to save Molly from otherworldly attacks, only to insult her a moment later.

As Molly learns more about the demon world, she realizes two things: that her family’s safety depends on a successful marriage, while any chance of freedom she’ll ever have calls for Tensley’s demise.

Yet sometimes Molly spots a tortured soul beyond those liquid grey eyes, and there’s no denying the way her skin tingles when Tensley touches it. In Vein of Love, safety requires sacrifice, foe becomes lover, and one must decide whether to kiss…or to kill.
