I went into this book blind and DO NOT regret one thing!
Penny has spent all of her life in a trailer park and doesn’t have too many hopes. Her father gambles everyday depleting their minimal savings. His addiction has landed them in trouble with the most dangerous sick criminal and he has his eyes set on Penny. When her father bets her and loses she has nowhere to run. Broken and abused she is saved by Damon Scott though it doesn’t really feel like saving. Maybe this is her being condemned forever.
Damon Scott needs to stay away from Penny for a lot of reasons but his willpower is slowly waning. That mixed with the feelings she evokes render him helpless. He knows they don’t belong but Damon finds himself caring less and less everyday.
I am SHOOK to the core with this book. I do not know what to feel and I do not know how to react. I wasn’t prepared for all the scary feelings that came with this book. My heart was breaking for both Penny and Damon and really all I want is for them to be happy. (also make babies)
I am super excited for the conclusion to their story because I know it will be nothing less than explosive.
5 Stars!
